How Nico uses Uniqode
A QR code for every plant variety, so a tag at the garden centre carries the whole product story.

The challenge
A wholesale grower's product is sold by somebody else, on a shelf they don't control, next to a plant tag a few centimetres wide. That tag has no room for planting depth, sun requirements, mature size, or the photography that actually sells a shrub, and once it ships, it can't be changed. The buying decision happens in front of a plant the shopper knows nothing about, and the grower has no way to reach them at that moment.
The solution
Nico built the QR layer as a catalogue rather than a campaign: the unit of tracking is the plant variety, not the season. Each cultivar gets its own dynamic code pointing at its own product page, and care reminders are kept as separate codes from product pages, so post-purchase support is measured apart from pre-purchase browsing. Destinations span the consumer product site, an augmented-reality visualiser, video, and a storefront. The same family of tags routes to genuinely different experiences depending on what the variety needs.
How Nico puts it to work
One code per cultivar, not per campaign
Codes are named for the plant variety itself, so a tag printed for one cultivar reports on that cultivar. The catalogue can grow without the tracking design changing.
Care reminders kept separate from product pages
The same variety can have both a pre-purchase product code and a post-purchase care code. Keeping them apart means the grower can see browsing and aftercare as two different behaviours instead of one blended number.
Different destinations for different jobs
Some codes go to product pages, others to an augmented-reality visualiser that shows the plant in a garden, others to video or a storefront. The tag looks the same; where it lands depends on what will actually help.
Codes minted ahead of the print run
Tags are produced in seasonal batches, so codes are created before the varieties ship. Dynamic destinations mean a link can still be set or corrected after the tags are already printed.

04 · The outcome
The portfolio is one of the largest on the platform, and unusually it did not cost per-code performance to get there. Demand is spread across the catalogue rather than propped up by one placement, which is what a variety-level strategy is supposed to produce.
